NSERC Supports Creation of Training Program in Health Data Science: $1.65M to CREATE

François Laviolette, professor in the Department of Computer Science and Software Engineering of the Faculty of Science and Engineering and Director of the Big Data Research Center at Laval University, has just received funding from the Training Program directed towards the Novelty, Collaboration and Research Experience (CREATE) from the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC). This grant, totaling $ 1.65 million spread over 6 years, will enable it to set up a training program to respond to data challenges in the health sector.
